My fantasy is dead and my inspiration has evaporated for the time being. Today I started one of my countless courses and now I have to do my homework. Every day we learn about renowned American people who dedicated their lives to a subject of interest which is less popular among common people, such as like chimpanzees, helping blind people or helping penguins.Today we learn about Dr Robert Ballard, I thought you might be interested too.
Dr. Robert Ballard is a scientist and an explorer who has dedicated his life to investigation of deep oceans water. He has become famous for his search old shipwrecks.
One of the biggest mysteries, which is still thrilling millions of people, is a sunken ship Titanic. Many “gold diggers” are attracted particularly to this ship because when it sank it had on board many treasures from rich people who had been taking their cruise to America for the first time. A Hollywood film about this tragedy has increased people’s interest and desire to take a close look at the ship-wreck.
All this attention doesn’t make it easier for Dr Ballard in his research, because he get contacted by many people who are trying to persuade Robert to bring up the items of interest from the ship-wreck. Despite this, Ballard has a strong belief in the idea that all sunken ships are hallowed and should be as a resting place for so many people. We have to show respect for that and should not disturb the monuments.
To mitigate the situation Dr Ballard has invented a deep-sea robot which has been made for the purpose of taking close pictures and films of the interior of the Titanic. Even more, this robot can be used at any ships and help scientists in researching of old ships under water, gives answers on many questions and reveals mystery which usually surrounds old sunken ships.
Moral of the story: do what you passion about it, even though many people might think that you are in the wrong business. Stick to your idea and people will recognize your achievements within …30 years. Be patient!
